Lower School Associate Teacher: Preschool Program (Ages 3–4)

About the role

Trevor Day School seeks full-time Associate Teachers for its Preschool Program (ages 3-4) for the 2026-2027 school year. Associate Teachers support Head Teachers in all aspects of classroom life and collaborate closely to advance Trevor’s mission, educational philosophy, and instructional practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with the head teacher to teach core subjects.
• Help assess student progress and maintain records; assist in the writing of reports and updating of class webpages; attend family conferences.
• Participate in weekly meetings and in professional development sessions.
• Fulfill Trevor community responsibilities.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children at the preschool and/or elementary level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; enrollment in or completion of a master’s degree program preferred.

Pay

The full-time salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 as per the school's salary scale. When extending an offer for employment, Trevor Day School bases the salary upon several factors that include (but are not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, and peer salary equity.
