Low Voltage Technician - Kearney, NE

About the role

As a Low Voltage Technician at Kidwell, you will install, maintain, and train customers on a variety of low voltage systems, including Avigilon (Access Control, Camera), Verkada (Access Control, Camera), and West-Com (Nurse Call System). You will oversee all new and existing customer installations and updates, supervise a team of installers on-site, and work closely with Sales Representatives, the Engineering Team, and Field Managers. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Access Control, Camera, RTLS, and Nurse Call Systems, including:
  • Installation of cabling, devices, and all system components.
  • Installation and configuration of servers, network switches, and UPS equipment.
  • Regular work in hospitals or other medical facilities.
• Train clients on operating and managing newly installed equipment.
• Work directly with project managers and engineers to understand job scope and design.
• Develop customer relationships, ensuring they fully understand system features and functions.
• Train and develop a team of installers to complete projects accurately and on time.
• Attend vendor partner and industry training to further develop technical knowledge.

Requirements

• 4+ years of low-voltage experience.
• Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university preferred but not required.
• State licensure is preferred.
• Previous people management and/or team development experience is preferred.
• Ability to work within estimated job scope and budget.
• Physical ability to perform required job tasks.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills (email, phone, and in-person).
• Industry or vendor certifications are a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a One Source Background check.
• Basic understanding of LANs and IP addressing.
