SHARE! your heart & home with a high school exchange student. Make next school year the most enriching for your family, ever!
Responsibilities
- Review student applications
- Select the boy or girl that best matches your family
- Attend the host family's local high school for a school year or semester
- Provide medical insurance for the exchange student
- Offer spending money for personal expenses
- Host the exchange student in your home
Requirements
- Volunteers with or without children at home are needed
- Students are between 15 and 18 years old
- Students come from various countries including Germany, Sweden, China, Brazil, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Japan, Ecuador, South Korea, and others
- Students speak English
- Host families must be diverse, including traditional two-parent families, single parents, or adults, and retired couples
Qualifications
- Willingness to share your home and culture
- Ability to provide a safe and welcoming environment
- Availability to host the student for a school year or semester
- Knowledge of basic English
