About the role
SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.
Responsibilities
- Attend your local high school with the exchange student
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
- Help the exchange student adjust to life in your community
- Encourage the exchange student to participate in local activities and events
- Ensure the exchange student has access to healthcare and emergency services
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a stable home environment
- Be able to provide transportation to and from school
- Be willing to commit to hosting the exchange student for one full academic year or semester
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn about and respect different cultures and lifestyles
- Good communication skills
- Ability to be patient and understanding
