Host an International High School Exchange Student (Central, LA)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Attend your local high school with the exchange student
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in your home and community
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care if needed
• Support the exchange student in their studies and extracurricular activities

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a stable home environment
• Must be able to provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Must be willing to participate in ongoing communication and support sessions

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn about and respect different cultures
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Open-mindedness and a positive attitude

• Good organizational skills
