Host an International High School Exchange Student (Lafayette, LA)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for an international student.
• Attend the student’s local high school classes.
• Help the student adjust to life in a new country and culture.
• Ensure the student has access to medical care and insurance.
• Support the student in their academic and social development.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Willingness to provide a warm and supportive home environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Availability to host the student for a full school year or semester.

Qualifications

• No criminal record.
• Pass background check.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Access to reliable transportation.
