About the role
Brightstar seeks a Lottery Field Services Technician in North Platt, NE, to service equipment at retailer locations. This role is part of our award-winning lottery services team and involves regular fieldwork, driving, and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Transport, install, and maintain Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and supplies in an organized and structured manner.
- Transport, install (if applicable), and maintain Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other equipment in an organized and structured manner.
- Attend driver training and follow Brightstar's vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of company vehicles.
- Maintain equipment to promote the continuous operation of Brightstar equipment.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to restore it to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning it, and making minor adjustments to the malfunctioning component.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers. Accurately report activity, arrival and departure times, problems, details, and resolutions of failures to Dispatch.
- Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts, such as paper, ribbons, and bet slips, and track the inventory of these items.
- Deliver basic training to new retailers or refresher/remedial training to retailers performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon.
- Complete primary forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for procedure improvements, etc.
Qualifications
- A high school degree or GED equivalent required.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a customer service-related position.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in technical repairs.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and demonstrate the ability to perceive colors correctly.
- Must be able to drive a 20ft box truck on occasion, CDL license NOT required.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance (e.g., from a parked vehicle to a point within the Retailer's location or to the rooftop of the retailer's location).
- Must be able to transport with the assistance of a colleague and lifting equipment, up to 800lbs.
- Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time, demonstrate dexterity when working with tools and work with moving parts and electrical current.
- May work at heights (rooftop) for installation of equipment, work in close quarters, and/or be exposed to inclement weather during some installations.
- Must reside in proximity to the area of coverage.

Pay
The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $20.00- $24.00 /hr. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower.
