About the role

As a Loss Prevention Specialist at Goodwill Manasota, you will be responsible for:

  • Awareness & Prevention: Communicating, training, and educating on security and loss prevention programs.
  • Facility Protection and Corporate Security: Investigating disturbances and assisting with facility security.
  • Partnership: Managing open cases, utilizing Loss Prevention Support (LP Support) Helpdesk, and monitoring digital video recording.
  • Training: Ensuring customer satisfaction and delivering training, particularly in new hire orientation and safety training.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating and supporting Goodwill's drug-free workplace policies.
  • Investigating disturbances and assisting with facility security.
  • Maintaining and managing key and alarm control access.
  • Monitoring facilities for security and loss prevention.
  • Responding to and assisting in emergency response situations.
  • Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction and buy-in through training.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide one-on-one and group training and knowledge sharing.
  • Effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team-building and business partnership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Strong public relations and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in operating digital platforms and systems including RM/LP management and video systems.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality regarding investigations and employee information.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of loss prevention/asset protection experience in a multi-unit capacity preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • CCTV, Burglar, Fire alarm Maintenance/Monitoring technical skills.
  • Access Control (Key & Lock Systems / Electronic systems) proficiency.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • LPC, Wicklander-Zulawski Interview and Interrogation, or other certification a plus.

Training and Experience

Training and experience requirements include:

  • 2-5 years of loss prevention/asset protection experience in a multi-unit capacity preferred, or equivalent experience.
