About the role

Patrol all areas of the property; assist guests with room access. Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system. Lock property entrances when required. Conduct daily physical hazard inspections. Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required. Assist guests and employees during emergency situations. Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Defuse guest or employee disturbances and call for outside assistance if necessary. Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents. Handle interruptions and complaints, resolve safety hazard situations, and escort unwelcome persons from the property without disrupting operations.

Report to scenes of vehicle accidents or thefts, call for assistance using proper code responses, and complete a Loss Prevention shift summary or daily activity report. Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports and documents, releasing information only to authorized individuals. Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Follow all company policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; completing safety training and certifications; maintaining a clean and professional appearance; and protecting company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and comply with quality assurance expectations.

  • Report to vehicle accidents or theft scenes
  • Maintain confidentiality of reports and documents
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Welcome and assist guests, including those with disabilities
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Read and verify information in various formats
  • Inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects
  • Use computers and point-of-sale systems
  • Move quickly to respond to work situations
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds (or 75 pounds with assistance)
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills
  • Move through confined, elevated, or uneven spaces
  • Navigate stairs, ramps, and slippery surfaces
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending and twisting
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No prior related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to read and visually verify information (e.g., small print)
  • Ability to inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects
  • Proficiency in using computers and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to move quickly to respond to work situations
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds (or 75 pounds with assistance)
  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to move through confined, elevated, or uneven spaces
  • Ability to navigate stairs, ramps, and slippery surfaces
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending and twisting
  • Some states may require additional licensing or registration
