About the role
Provide customer service by acknowledging customers as they enter and exit the store, answer questions, assist with deactivation of electronic article surveillance devices, and monitor the Greeter Kiosk.

- Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Smith's Food and Drug merged with The Kroger Company in 1998. Today, we're proudly serving Smith's customers in over 140 stores throughout Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.
- Work within a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict time frames and deadlines.
- Use strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to draw conclusions.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, speaking a second language if possible.
- Model customer-first behavior and deliver excellent customer service.
- Operate in entry and exit areas of the store, politely asking customers to see their receipts for non-bagged items and directing them to registers.
- Assist customers with deactivating EAS devices, answering questions about store layout, and reporting suspicious behavior to supervisors.
- Monitor and respond to EAS system activations, and communicate with district Asset Protection (AP) managers/district AP specialists as needed.
- Maintain flexibility to work any shift and comply with corporate policies.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work within strict time frames and deadlines.
- Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to draw conclusions.
Qualifications
- Desired: Ability to speak a second language.
