About the role
Davies North America is seeking a Training Specialist to develop the knowledge and skills of independent contractors and staff. This dynamic, high-visibility role provides support to various departments via video calls, phone calls, and email. The Training Specialist will assist with new hire orientation, continued development, and provide education and support to both field personnel and internal staff, while tracking individual progress through offered programs to ensure all business goals and objectives are achieved. This individual must maintain strong industry knowledge and keep pace with changes in program material, department processes and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide orientation and education to new field and internal personnel through courses, educational videos, and one-on-one sessions as needed
- Monitor training operations to identify opportunities to expand service offerings and/or improve processes via identification of best practices
- Regularly report progress against established goals. Adjust goals and communicate new goals as circumstances require
- Coach and mentor field personnel and internal staff
- Provide feedback regarding training material to Training Manager
- Assist in developing and maintaining training material
- Ensure the onboarding and training of new field representatives and internal personnel in a timely manner
- Maintain strong communications with the other departments
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent work experience in Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance
- Three years of experience in the insurance inspection industry or a related field is preferred (significant relevant experience can substitute for the education/specific industry requirement)

- Possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Pay
$45,000 - $50,000 / year
