About the role
Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets®. We also do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal.

As the Technical Training Specialist (Maintenance), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team. You will be at the forefront of driving World Class Manufacturing practices, ensuring that the team is equipped with the latest competencies to excel in their roles. Responsibilities include:
- Support, coordinate, and oversee the development of standardized onboarding for the factory technical maintenance teams, aligned with business priorities and aimed at addressing top factory losses and future strategy.
- Monitor and coordinate ongoing onboarding and competence management for maintenance personnel, including determining onboarding content and developing materials for key competencies.
- Coordinate efforts and oversee deployment of a digital competence management platform, continuing development of a digital structure strategy for the maintenance space to enhance competence management.
- Coordinate efforts, monitor, and recommend improvements to the World Class Technical Training Center, including development of technical training modules and oversight of technical training curriculum.
- Own content and execution methods for training and coaching the Factory Maintenance Teams.
- Work in partnership with local and divisional stakeholders for approval, coordination, development, and prioritization of needs.
Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following sets of qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, military, or similar operating environment.
- 1+ years’ experience in training and development, overseeing programs, and leading educational initiatives.
- 1+ years' SAP experience required.
OR
- Associate’s degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, military, or similar operating environment.
- 1+ years’ experience in training and development, overseeing programs, and leading educational initiatives.
- 1+ years' SAP experience required.
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is $66,000 - $91,000 annually. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
