Loom Mechanic - 3rd Shift

Work Shift: Third Shift – 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday through Friday (Somersworth, NH)

About the Role

Safely perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, repair, and routine maintenance of production equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost standards. Direct and Contract to Hire opportunities available based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
• Perform diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Make minor adjustments to ensure product meets specifications.
• Restart equipment following shutdown, ensuring proper operation.
• Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts.
• Assist Weavers to operate sets of looms: repair breaks, draw-in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets.
• Notify appropriate personnel of incidents or situations triggering contingency plans.
• Perform emergency response duties as required by management.
• Move chemicals and/or waste within the facility and maintain chemical storage areas in a clean, orderly manner.
• Follow applicable EHS department procedures.
• Work well with others in a team environment.
• Maintain excellent attendance.
• Work overtime as required or requested, including extended shifts and weekends.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting.
• Experience with service and repair of complex production machinery and equipment (electrical and mechanical components a plus).
• Ability to be certified for lockout/tagout operations and Hazardous Communications training.
• Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Ability to read and interpret dials, gauges, rulers, equipment service manuals, and general instructions.
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and data entry.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to learn independently through books, web-based resources, and classroom participation.
• Previous textile manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Full-time presence required.

Work Environment & Schedule

Onsite manufacturing environment with a shift-based schedule. Hands-on role involving equipment operation and team collaboration.
