Description
LGBTQ+ children, youth, and families too often experience trauma due to bias, discrimination, including within their family, in their communities, and from public systems designed to serve their needs.
But according to the Trevor Project, "LGBTQ youth who report having at least one accepting adult were 40% less likely to report a suicide attempt in the past year."
IN PERSON mentoring
- Spend at least 1 hour a week with your mentee
- Activities can include: homework help, outdoor play, museum visits, crafts, etc.
