Long-term Substitute Science - Chemistry Teacher

About the role

Westminster Christian Academy is seeking a Long-term Substitute Chemistry Teacher to start as soon as possible. The substitute will teach five chemistry classes for the remainder of the school year. Founded in 1976 as an independent, coeducational school, Westminster Christian Academy provides a comprehensive college preparatory program for 970 students in grades 7 through 12 on a 70‑acre suburban St. Louis County campus, 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. The school honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith for the children of Christian parents.

Qualifications

• A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
• Membership or faithful attendance at an approved Protestant church congregation
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in a middle and/or secondary school setting strongly preferred
• Experience teaching Science strongly preferred
• Strong classroom management skills
• Strong professional or collegiate references

Pay

Long‑term substitute pay is $215 per day.

Schedule

Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
