About the role
We are seeking a skilled Long Term Care RN for a travel assignment in a facility in Hayward, Wisconsin. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessing health status, developing care plans, administering treatments, and supervising staff such as LPNs and CNAs.
Responsibilities
- Assessing resident health and monitoring changes
- Implementing personalized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments
- Providing skilled procedures like wound care and IV therapy
- Supervising and supporting nursing staff
- Educating residents and families on health management
- Documenting care and responding to emergencies
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure quality, coordinated care
- Adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications and skills
- One year of recent LTC RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work effectively under pressure
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC use
- Visual acuity and sensory communication skills
