Responsibilities
- Executes and coordinates the flow of inbound and outbound shipments (20%)
- Identifies potential improvements in logistic workflows and cost savings; participates in Lean or continuous improvement initiatives (20%)
- Routes outbound delivered loads and inbound back-hauls; creates required export documentation to support international orders (20%)
- Performs data entry by accurately documenting material movements and logistics records in the inventory management system; manages load utilization; coordinates the distribution point of material for incoming and outgoing materials (20%)
- Coordinates common carrier activities; maintains customer database and profile by customer location; maintains customer delivery time windows (20%)
- Communicates effectively with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and quality to support on-time material availability; reports shortages or delays that may impact production schedules (20%)
Requirements
- Relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations
- Working knowledge of import/export compliance
- Proficient with ERP and warehouse management systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work to meet deadlines and customer requirements
