About the role

Join one of the largest equipment dealers in North America! We're seeking a full-time heavy equipment Field Technician for the Central Mass area (Worcester, Leominster, Fitchburg) to report out of our Concord, NH location. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections
• Power washing and parts cleaning
• Removal and installation of parts
• Implementation of optional accessories
• Maintenance
• Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting on the road
• Testing general repairs on the road
• Driving company truck to different customer locations
• Inupcorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Three years of previous heavy equipment or over the road (OTR) repair experience
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of the following systems: engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical
• Possess own tools
• A positive attitude and high energy
• A clean driving record
• Intermediate language skills: ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively
• Basic mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Reasoning ability: intermediate level

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Regularly stands, walks, uses hands, reaches with hands
• Frequently talks/hears, climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls
• Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds; frequently lifts 26 to 50 pounds; occasionally lifts from 51 to 100 plus pounds
• Works near moving mechanical parts; frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, under extreme heat or cold; occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); risk of electrical shock, vibration
