Logistics Team Lead - 3rd shift

About the role

This position works under general supervision, coordinates, oversees and monitors activities within a specific factory function in Assembly. This person will report to a Section Manger.

Responsibilities

• Uses various tools provided in the work area to perform assembly duties and may include the use of lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.
• Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, Standard Work and Built in Quality.
• Keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintains a high level of productivity and quality in the assembly process.
• Works in a team environment to achieve team goals.
• Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
• Performs administrative functions and may be accountable for daily team PQVC metric boards.
• Provides input on schedule/build adjustments.
• Liaises with cross-functional leaders to resolve issues.
• Performs other related work duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have an “Expected” or greater level of performance
• Previous experience in machine assembly experience
• Experience working with lean manufacturing principles such as following standard work, continuous improvement, eliminating waste, 5S and BIQ
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to perform repetitive operations
• Ability to live up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Previous Leadership experience
• Advanced problem solving/troubleshooting ability and root cause corrective action
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents and follow standard work instructions
• Ability to retain and transfer knowledge to others

Pay

The position includes a starting wage of $25.75/hour and a comprehensive benefit program!

Schedule

Openings available on 3rd shift: Monday – Friday, 11pm – 7am. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization.
