Warehouse Team Lead (3rd Shift)

Position Summary

Leads are responsible for all regular duties of their team and are also responsible to ensure that optimum material delivery is achieved. The Lead will support the team by monitoring material deliveries, implementing continuous improvement ideas, and ensuring Safety, Quality, and Production goals are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Trains, develops, monitors, and supports team members using standardized work instructions.
• Monitors warehouse and receiving operations to ensure product quality and material delivery efficiency.
• Assigns associates to positions to cover daily tasks.
• Assists Team as needed to cover absentee operators as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all Product Safety Procedure requirements; fully understand and ensure compliance with Product Safety Escalation Process.
• Communicates and works with other shifts to ensure consistency and goals are achieved.
• Leads the daily team start up meeting and monitors completion of end of shift routine regarding housekeeping.
• Updates, communicates, and addresses Powerbase metrics.
• Supports and drives participation in KPS, including Quick Kaizens.
• Coaches team on basic problem-solving skills.
• Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action regarding safety, health, and environmental concerns (supports Stop Work Authority).
• Support open and transparent communication. Possesses the ability to maintain professionalism and demonstrate company values each day. Possesses the ability to support team and company with honesty, integrity, respect, and compassion for others.
• Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action regarding product quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to facilitate teamwork and work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
• Basic Computer skills are required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Previous forklift experience required
• Strong Interpersonal and problem-solving skills are required
• Must be able to effectively multi-task assignments
• SAP knowledge desired but not required

Physical Requirements

• Physical activities required (on-the-job time): Standing, Walking, Talking, Hearing, Using Hands or Fingers to Handle or Feel, Stoop/Kneel/Crouch/Crawl, Reach with Hands and Arms
• Weight required to be lifted or force exerted: Up to 10 pounds, Up to 25 pounds, Up to 50 pounds, Up to 100 pounds, More than 100 pounds
• Vision requirements: Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus

Pay

$26.65 per hour for candidates who will work in Bowling Green, KY. Final pay offered will be dependent on several factors including type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, and education.
