Logistics Specialist

Essential Duties

• Daily supervision and prompt exception management of stock shipments from DC to stores in assigned markets (CA, US, & MX)—including Fresh Service tickets.
• Working with customs agents to ensure flawless execution of customs clearance process to deliver goods on time on time to warehouse or to the store directly.
• Tracking status of all stock shipped from the warehouse to stores to ensure on time delivery.
• Exception management by working closely with courier companies to solve all delivery issues
• Coinciding and monitoring transport of goods (stock and non-stock) delivery in accordance with new stores dispatch schedule
• Ongoing support of customs processes, duty mitigation and compliance initiatives.
• Managing claims related to lost goods and service quality including: raising claims, filling in claim forms and claim status tracking.
• Processing duty and freight invoices to ensure proper booking and on time payments.
• Supporting initiatives and cost saving opportunities.
• Reporting on carrier performance, lead times and cost to serve flagging concerns to Line Manager.
• Ensuring the accuracy of all shipping documents—gather and maintain all data records relative to shipping activities
• Liaising with warehouse management to ensure that all outgoing shipments are compliant with local regulations/carrier requirements, are correctly packaged and have the correct documentation attached
• Delivering key Projects and Initiatives as required. Drive change management to support.
• Working closely with Internationally based counterparts, share market knowledge and backfill for this position when required
• Other ad hoc tasks related to Logistics and Warehousing.
