Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers and business partners via phone and email
- Handle customer concerns in a calm and professional manner
- Diagnose, assess, and resolve logistics and delivery issues
- Monitor delivery routes and driver performance to ensure on-time service
- Prepare documentation for daily routes including PODs and manifests
- Process order changes, updates, and cancellations
- Check in drivers and trucks upon return from deliveries
- Verify returned products for proper disposition including haul away, return to vendor, or reschedule
- Maintain and update customer profiles and enter load information into internal systems
- Communicate with account managers regarding load issues and resolution steps
- Provide real-time updates on pickups and deliveries, ensuring loads arrive on time and in good condition
- Take check calls from drivers and confirm delivery timelines
- Validate load data prior to completion for accurate reporting and billing
- Investigate and document overages, shortages, and damages
- Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments based on customer and operational needs
- Provide clear routing instructions and directions to drivers
Requirements
- 1+ year of logistics or transportation experience
- Routing experience is required
- General knowledge of the transportation industry
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and stay highly organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
