About the role

The Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring inventory and shipments move accurately and on time across the business. This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day execution of inventory management, allocation, and shipment planning. Working closely with supply, warehouse, and transport teams, you’ll help ensure smooth operations and reliable delivery. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stock levels and order allocation to support planned dispatches and internal demand.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including receipting, stock movements, and reconciliations.
  • Work with the supply team to align inbound stock and identify excess or slow-moving inventory.
  • Book, coordinate, and track shipments to meet delivery schedules and customer commitments.
  • Partner with warehouse, dispatch, and transport teams to ensure accurate, on-time fulfillment.
  • Communicate shipment timelines and proactively resolve logistical issues.
  • Identify and implement improvements across inventory, allocation, and dispatch processes.
  • Use logistics systems to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Support the supply chain team with ad hoc operational tasks and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

This role requires a combination of technical skills and strong interpersonal abilities. You should have:

  • Experience managing inventory and shipping processes.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Experience with inventory management software and logistics systems.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle or SAP).

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $75K.

Schedule
