Logistics Specialist

About the role

We're looking for a resourceful, detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our Operations team on our 1st shift. In this role, you'll coordinate transportation activities from start to finish-scheduling shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, and tracking shipments -ensuring everything arrives on time.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and track shipments to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Prepare shipment documentation and maintain accurate records in dispatch systems.
• Update load boards and secure reliable carrier partners.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and dispatchers.
• Troubleshoot delays or issues and provide timely solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years in transportation, dispatch, or freight brokerage (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using dispatch or TMS software is a plus.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
