Logistics QSHE Specialist-Shepherdsville, KY
The right candidate will be responsible to assist with all QSHE aspects and ensure targets are met for the location. You will keep management informed about QSHE integrated management system performance. Additionally, you will evaluate and report all hazards to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment and promote the awareness of environmental safety and health among all employees.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with employees from all business and functional units throughout the organization to ensure the QSHE system is properly implemented.
- Liaise with external parties on matters relating to QSHE, such as customers, authorities, certification bodies, and suppliers.
- Aid in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems to measure performance against established standards (e.g., Audit Tool, TIP, GFCC, etc.).
- Maintain monitoring of performance in relevant areas according to agreed-upon standards and take necessary actions to communicate, assist, and report on changes in standards and performance.
- Absorb and execute QSHE audits, participate in regular inspections, audits (both internal and external), and client assessments.
- Ensure adequate Quality, Safety, Health, Environment-related services based on customers' requirements and assist the QSHE management with day-to-day responsibilities within QSHE.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a warehousing environment
- 1+ years in a full-time Quality role
- Advanced Excel and Word skills
- Understanding of quality systems requirements
- Lift heavy material of up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods
