Logistics Management Specialist

KBR is looking for a self-motivated established logistician with recent experience working in USAF acquisition and/or sustainment logistics, program management, leadership, or engineering specialties to join our team in an embedded role inside the Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) System Program Office (SPO).

About the role

This position directly supports the Missile Sustainment Division by managing program activities such as life cycle logistics program planning, proposal pricing, financial management, cost analysis, management techniques, documentation requirements, or equipment analysis. The candidate will serve as a primary customer contact for assigned areas of responsibility and must exhibit capability in producing planning documents, preparing and utilizing databases for cost analysis and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Research, organize, plan, and administer various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more programs of moderate scope.
• Research contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
• Develop logistics plans to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.
• Identify, prioritize, and assess key logistics assets and infrastructures.
• Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
• Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory, and examine requirements to develop strategies for achieving desired delivery times.
• Apply expertise in DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements; make recommendations to the customer for changes to standards and requirements.
• Navigate database software to find, sort, review, edit, print records, and write queries or reports using available tools.
• Conduct other logistics-related duties as assigned, including life cycle logistics program planning, proposal pricing, financial management, cost analysis, and network analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree OR minimum of five (5) years’ experience in multiple areas of military-related acquisition, sustainment logistics, or program management.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of depot and field maintenance and supportability concepts, Performance Work Statements (PWS), Statements of Work (SOW), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), test procedures and plans, obsolescence, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), risk management, and end-item delivery and installation.
• Ability to multi-task, provide clear and well-organized verbal and written communication, problem-solve, think critically and creatively, and advise management.
• 100% in-office role embedded inside the program office, requiring interfacing with government and contractor personnel.

Skills

• Logistics Management: Knowledgeable in logistics concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and materials. Skilled in planning, designing, testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and overseeing the development and/or sustainment of aerospace systems or devices.
• Database Software: Ability to use database software for records management, built-in forms and reports, and data analysis. Proficient in writing queries, generating reports, and exporting data to formats like Excel for further analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• USAF Equipment Specialist expertise.
• Knowledge and experience developing life cycle logistics strategies, including service life extensions and test and evaluation execution.
• Experience serving as a program manager of acquisition programs, with responsibilities for cost, schedule, technical, and performance aspects.
• Experience with DoD and USAF weapon system, logistics, supply, and/or maintenance systems.
• Certified APDP Level II or III in Life Cycle Logistics or industry equivalent within the past five years.
• Extensive knowledge and experience managing and executing ACAT III acquisition programs or RDT&E programs.
• Master’s degree and/or relevant DoD Military Service Professional Military Education (PME).
• Knowledge of Tinker AFB and its mission.
• USAF System Program Office experience and/or aircraft experience.
