Logistics Management Specialist

This position is open exclusively to current 448th Supply Chain Management Wing federal employees. Applicants must submit their most recent SF50 to verify eligibility.

About the role

In this position, you will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist to direct, develop, implement, or function as part of a logistics management operation for an organization involved in providing logistical support to a new program, fielded system, modification, or replacement program.

• The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
• Must be a current 448 SCMW federal employee

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
• Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply this knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
• Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
• Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues.
• Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
• Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.

Pay

Salary range: $89,508 - $138,370 per year.
