Logistics Coordinator I

About the role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will serve as the company’s primary contact with producers, customers, and haulers. You will build and maintain positive relationships while scheduling, documenting, and reporting the movement of milk from dairies to customers. This role focuses on optimizing shipping and transportation processes to achieve distribution goals and cultivating a culture of Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with producers, customers, and haulers as their main point of contact for logistical activities.
- Utilize Logistics IT systems to maintain records of all producer dairy production.
- Submit pickup schedules to haulers and daily receiving reports to the Greater Southwest Agency and customers.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure customers receive milk as ordered.
- Assist in balancing and locating missing records between producers and customers.
- Resolve transportation issues that may occur between producers and customers.
- Participate in weekend work and "On Call" status as part of a normal rotating shift.
- Provide accurate month-end reports to logistics and finance teams.
- Maintain supply inventories at producer dairies and Select Milk Producers facilities.
- Facilitate distribution of supplies to producers.
- Assume other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school degree required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of previous supply chain/logistics experience; dairy industry experience preferred.
- Experience interacting with customers and/or suppliers.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Must have proof of legal authorization to work in the USA.

Physical Requirements

- Constant operation of standard office machines, including computers.
- Frequent movement within the office building.
