Logistics Coordinator I
Primary Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and route domestic and international orders
- Cook, ensure safe, timely pickup and delivery of shipments
- Monitor shipments, timelines, and productivity; communicate delays to stakeholders
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries
- Aid in resolving shipment, inventory, and logistics-related issues
- Support daily freight operations, including coordination with carriers, customer service, and manufacturing
- Book and manage logistics services for domestic and international transportation
- Analyze transportation reports to support cost-effective logistics decisions
- Aid in securing competitive freight rates
- Utilize basic data analysis and reporting to support decision-making
- Support optimization of transportation processes and procedures
- Build and maintain effective working relationships through proactive service
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–2 years of logistics/transportation or operations experience preferred (not required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills
- Ability to operate computer systems and logistics tools
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong interdepartmental communication skills
- Proactive problem identification and resolution abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage changing priorities effectively
- Problem-solving skills in both routine and moderately complex situations
