Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facility in Mobile, AL. You will be part of a team developing Single Aisle Final Assembly Line logistics and material management operations.

About the role

As part of the FAL Logistics Team, you will coordinate line-side material feed and manage the Logistics Service Provider (LSP) interface to secure seamless production, mitigate supply chain disruptions, and maintain Airbus quality standards.

Our Engineers at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facility take our aircraft from concept to customer delivery, working with production teams on assembly aspects including technical information, quality control, maintenance tasks, and health & safety along flowlines and flightlines.

Working Environment

Located on ‘Airbus Way’ at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, our U.S. Manufacturing Facility opened in 2015 and produces A320 Family aircraft. A second product line for the A220 was added in 2019. The facility strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry and supports Airbus’ strategy to enhance global competitiveness by meeting customer needs in the United States and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and expedite material flow to the production line, providing line-side support and tracking delivery status to safeguard the production schedule.
  • Identify supply chain disruptions, manage missing parts lists with Production and the FAL Hamburg Back Office, and apply Lean Manufacturing philosophies to improve processes.
  • Prioritize high-urgency reorders for non-conforming material, execute part reassignments, and oversee scrap and return processes for rework/concession parts.
  • Act as the Autonomous Production Team (APT) focal point for Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and 3rd-party on-site support partners.
  • Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Information Systems to ensure strict adherence to Airbus standards and health/safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience focused in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Logistics (preferred).
  • 0-2 years of experience in supply chain, physical logistics, or material management—preferably in aviation manufacturing, assembly, or MRO environments.
  • Working knowledge of physical logistics processes, logistics IT tools, Lean Manufacturing methodologies, and quality/environmental standards (e.g., ISO 14001).
  • Proven ability to identify root causes of supply chain disruptions, evaluate complex situations, and implement stable operational solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (additional language skills are a plus) with demonstrated experience collaborating in multicultural teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work on-site in an active commercial aircraft final assembly line (FAL) and shop floor environment.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate production flowlines throughout the workday.
  • Ability to inspect and track physical materials and delivery units safely while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Benefits

  • Financial Rewards: Competitive base salary, incentive compensation (including profit-sharing schemes), retirement savings plan, and participation in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
  • Work/Life Balance: Paid time off (including personal time, holidays), and a generous paid parental leave program.
  • Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage (medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, disability), Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), and other supplemental benefits.
  • Individual Development: Upskilling and development opportunities through Airbus’ global Leadership University, including unlimited access to 10,000+ e-learning courses, certifications, career path development, accelerated development programs, and national/international mobility.

Airbus provides relocation assistance for qualified positions and a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. This is a direct-hire, professional-level, on-site role in Mobile, AL.
