Logistics Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices and procedures and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken.
- Pack and prepare outgoing shipments, including palletizing if required.
- Use UPS Worldship to prepare pick up for outgoing shipments.
- Schedule with other local carriers for outgoing shipments, ie FedEx, DHL.
- Invoice customers.
- Assist with unloading of delivery trucks, when necessary.
- Maintain clean, tidy and safe workplace.
- Abide by company and OHSA regulations/policies.
- Advise manager on implementing changes.
- Advise manager of risks or potential hazards as required.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1 year experience operating fabricating machinery.
Skills
- Read a tape measure and ruler and convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
- Meet all product quality requirements.
- Ability to use precision hand tools.
- Attention to detail.

Pay
The estimated salary range for this position is $37,000 - $61,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors.
Schedule
Onsite. The employee will be required to stand and walk for at least 8 hours. Regularly be required to push/pull material with assistance of overhead crane. Climb stairs, reach and bend regularly. Occasionally sit, grasp, climb, crawl, twist, and work at heights. Occasionally lift, hold and/or move up to 50 pounds. Manufacturing environment requires use of required Personal Protective Equipment, such as foot, eye and ear protection when in production locations. Potential exposure to bad weather, excessive heat, and/or excessive noise.
