Responsibilities
- Domestic Export Programs
- Prepare all export documentation for warehouses and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to shipment.
- Track export shipments proactively to identify and prevent problems before they impact delivery.
- When issues arise, contact the shipper and/or Project Manager promptly to drive resolution.
- Investigate the receiving requirements of the inbound country prior to shipment (e.g., product testing and supporting documentation for Japan, import requirements for Turkey, sanitizer/ingredient documentation for Australia).
- Verify labeling requirements of the destination country and confirm shipments meet them before departure.
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports, and customer issues.
- Monitor product import and export processes to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Successfully manage international shipments from point A to point B, presenting effective solutions to clients that meet their specific requirements.
- Arrange bookings with airlines, ocean carriers, co-loaders, and all other relevant parties.
- International Importing Programs
- Coordinate incoming international shipments end-to-end, including:
- Freight forwarder coordination and booking.
- Customs clearance and broker communication.
- Delivery scheduling to the final destination/receiving location.
- Maintain accurate HTS classification listings for imported products and ensure correct tariff treatment.

Requirements
- 2+ years of import/export experience.
- Working knowledge of HTS classification and related requirements.
- Understanding of EORI, CERS, and U.S. import/export requirements.
- Strong knowledge of trucking and logistics methods, terminology, and practices.
- Experience with international shipping requirements, including import/export regulations.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively over the phone and through email.
- Ability to recognize when action is necessary and implement the required actions with urgency.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.

Pay
The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
