Locums Pathologist

Seeking a licensed pathologist to handle approximately 3,000 surgical pathology cases annually, including anatomic and clinical pathology, cytology (about 100 cases, FNA only), peripheral smear reviews, and blood bank coverage. The role involves large specimen grossing and frozen section procedures, with no bone marrow or autopsy work required. Responsibilities include vacation coverage, ensuring accurate diagnostics, and maintaining high-quality lab operations. Qualifications include relevant pathology certification, with strong skills in grossing, frozen sections, and cytology. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and possesses excellent diagnostic skills. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, competitive hourly compensation ranging from $180.00 to $220.00, paid malpractice insurance, and pre-paid travel and housing expenses.
