Locums Pathologist

This role involves providing general pathology services with a focus on heavy GI biopsy and non-gyn cytology, including peripheral smear reviews, blood bank questions, and FNA smears. Pathologists will perform gross examinations in the afternoon, with no PA on staff and no autopsies required; most bone marrows are sent out. Responsibilities include handling approximately 20-30 cases daily, covering vacation periods with potential for additional dates. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3 pm, with rare evening phone calls. Key duties involve maintaining accurate case documentation via an online portal, providing high-quality diagnostic services, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Qualifications include relevant pathology certification, strong diagnostic skills, and experience with GI biopsies and cytology.
