About the role
Seeking a qualified pathologist for a locum tenens position.
Responsibilities
- General surgical pathology covering GI, GU, ENT, breast, and lymph nodes.
- Perform CT-guided biopsies and cytology (gyn and non‑gyn).
- Provide grossing coverage when a pathology assistant is unavailable.
- Handle 1‑2 frozen sections and ROSE daily.
- Review peripheral blood smears.
- Process approximately 35‑40 cases per day.
Schedule
Work Monday to Friday, no nights or weekends, with a schedule of 2 weeks per month.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in general surgical pathology and cytology.
- Ability to perform biopsies and grossing.
- Excellent attention to detail and diagnostic skills.
- Must have hospital privileges.
