About the role
Covering adult neurosurgery on a call basis with beeper call and a 20-minute response time.
Responsibilities
- Providing general and adult neurosurgery consultations
- Managing approximately 3 patients per 24-hour call period
- Handling an average of 8 phone consults per shift
- Supporting team members with APPs available on first call
- Maintaining a call ratio of 1:3 with 100% callback
- Ensuring high-quality patient care through phone consultations and call coverage
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in general and adult neurosurgery
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to respond promptly
- Capacity to manage adult neurosurgical cases effectively
Key Duties
- Providing call coverage
- Supporting adult neurosurgical patients
- Participating in ongoing PRN coverage
- Utilizing available APP support
- Managing phone consults
- Ensuring timely responses
