Locums Neurosurgeon

About the role

This role involves providing neurosurgical coverage in a dynamic environment, managing adult patients (pediatric and neonate cases excluded). The provider will have access to an online portal for assignment details and dedicated recruiter support. The position seeks a highly skilled neurosurgeon with relevant experience and certifications to provide specialized surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour beeper call coverage with a 20‑minute response time.
• Focus on general neurosurgery, trauma, and spinal surgery with instrumentation.
• Perform VP shunt procedures and ICP monitor placement.
• Perform complex surgeries, respond promptly to emergencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Experience with VP shunt procedures and ICP monitor placement.
• Manage adult patients only (pediatric and neonate cases not included).

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Fellowship training preferred.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $320.00 to $400.00 hourly, combining base pay with overtime, call, and holiday pay.

Schedule

24‑hour beeper call (14‑21 shifts per month) with a 20‑minute call response time.
