Locum Tenens - Pediatric Surgery

Role Overview Seeking a Pediatric Surgery specialist for inpatient coverage in Tucson, AZ. The position involves performing surgeries such as laparoscopic procedures, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, Nissen fundoplication, head/neck surgeries (including thyroid), chest wall and pleural procedures, GI endoscopy, chest tube placement, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement. Responsibilities include providing patient care, managing admissions, and handling phone consults. Qualifications & Skills Licensed in AZ (no IMLC)Proficiency in laparoscopic and general surgical techniquesExperience with pediatric inpatient care and proceduresFamiliarity with EMR systems, specifically Epic Key Duties Provide inpatient surgical care to pediatric patientsManage patient admissions and perform necessary proceduresConduct phone consultations (3 per shift)Handle call responsibilities, including 24-hour call coverage
