About the Role

Specialty: Pediatric Surgery in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric surgical care, including procedures such as:
  • Laparoscopic surgeries (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, Nissen fundoplication)
  • Head/neck surgeries (including thyroid)
  • Chest wall/pleural procedures
  • GI endoscopy
  • Insertion of central lines, chest tubes, and PA catheters
• Manage 2 patients, handle 3 phone consults, and attend to 1 admission per shift
• Provide 24-hour call coverage
• Deliver high-quality inpatient pediatric surgical services
• Coordinate patient care and ensure proper documentation
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Requirements

• Valid Arizona medical license (IMLC not required)
• Proficiency in pediatric surgical techniques and procedures
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic)
