Locum Tenens Pediatric Surgeon

About the Role

This position involves providing inpatient pediatric surgical care, including performing procedures such as laparoscopic surgeries, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernioplasties, Nissen fundoplications, head/neck surgeries (including thyroid), chest wall and pleural procedures, GI endoscopy, chest tube placements, central line insertions, and PA catheter placements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a limited patient caseload with approximately 2 patients seen and 1 admission per day.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage.
• Conduct phone consultations (up to 3 per day).
• Utilize EMR system (Epic) for documentation.

Requirements

• Licensed in Arizona (AZ license or IMLC).
• Proficient in pediatric surgical techniques and procedures.
• Experience with laparoscopic and head/neck surgeries, chest procedures, and endoscopy.
