Locum Tenens Pediatric Surgeon

About the Role

Provide pediatric surgical care in an inpatient setting, including performing procedures such as laparoscopic surgeries, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, Nissen fundoplication, head/neck surgeries (including thyroid), chest wall and pleural procedures, GI endoscopy, chest tube placement, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement.

Handle phone consultations, see patients, and manage admissions as part of the clinical duties. Maintain necessary licensure and utilize the Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric surgical procedures in an inpatient setting.
• Conduct phone consultations and manage patient admissions.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for inpatient care.
• Maintain active licensure and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in Arizona (AZ license or IMLC).
• Strong surgical skills in pediatric specialty, including minimally invasive techniques.
• Ability to handle 24-hour call coverage and manage inpatient care efficiently.
