Locum Tenens - Gastroenterology

About the role

Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care in a hospital setting, including daily endoscopies, consult management, and comprehensive services during hospital hours (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM). No night call; 24-hour weekend call coverage is shared. Work collaboratively with a team of two physicians and two advanced practice providers, utilizing on-site lab and X-ray facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 18 outpatient and 20 inpatient endoscopies daily
• Manage gastroenterology consults
• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services
• Collaborate with a team of two physicians and two APPs

Requirements

• Active Michigan medical license
• DEA certification
• Proficiency in Cerner EMR

Skills

• Strong clinical skills in gastroenterology
• Ability to perform endoscopies
• Effective communication and teamwork in a hospital environment

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM. No night call; shared 24-hour weekend call coverage.
