Locum Tenens - Emergency Medicine

About the role

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Emergency Medicine to work in the main ED of a hospital. The role involves providing patient care alongside an ED physician, with no call duties required.

Schedule

Shifts from 12pm to 10pm; patient volume varies.

Responsibilities

• Perform common emergency procedures, including:
• Nail trephination
• Suturing and staples
• Epistaxis management and cautery
• Tick removal and foreign body removal
• Abscess incision and drainage (I&D)
• Digital and dental blocks
• Joint reduction
• Skin tear repair
• Bursa aspiration

Requirements

• Valid Michigan license and Michigan DEA
• Proficiency in MediTech EMR
• BLS certification
• Experience in emergency procedures
• Strong clinical skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
