About the role
This inpatient emergency medicine position involves providing care in a modern ED with a high patient volume of approximately 75,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Deliver medical services to patients of all ages in a 24/7 staffed ED supported by advanced imaging, laboratory services, APP support, and scribes.
- Handle transfers for burns, amputations, and high-risk obstetrics.
- Utilize state-of-the-art trauma rooms and electronic medical records (EPIC).
Requirements
- ABEM Board Certification or equivalent (within 3-5 years of residency).
- Active South Carolina medical license.
- South Carolina CSR (Controlled Substance Registration).
- DEA registration valid within the state.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR.
