Emergency Medicine - Locum Tenens

About the role

Seeking a qualified physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a 25-bed hospital with Level 3 ER and 7-bed ER facilities. The role involves covering approximately 10-15 shifts per month, primarily 12-hour shifts, with an annual ER volume of around 13,000 patients.

Responsibilities

• Providing emergency medical care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Managing patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Board certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Active Louisiana medical license.
• Current CSR and DEA certification.

Skills

• Strong emergency medicine expertise.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.

Schedule

10-15 shifts per month, primarily 12-hour shifts.
