About the Role
This inpatient Physician Assistant position involves providing cardiothoracic surgery coverage in a CT-ICU setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties such as arterial line placement, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, and intubation.
- Provide on-site care during day and night shifts with support from Advanced Practice Provider (APP) staff.
No call duties are required.
Requirements
- No board certification or prescriptive authority needed.
- Ability to work in a hospital environment and handle variable patient loads.
- Collaborate with on-site support staff.
Work Environment & Support
- Support staff typically includes 2 APPs during day shifts and 1 during night shifts.
- The setting is on-site, supporting patients of all ages.
