Locum | Physician Pediatric Hospitalist

About the role

24-hr call shifts — 10 days on, 10 days off rotation
Ongoing coverage potential
100% nursery and pediatric inpatient patient population
Level II nursery coverage — approx. 200 births per year
Level I and II nursery, inpatient pediatrics required
Intubation and umbilical line placement required
Circumcisions required
NRP certification required

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements hospital-based medical care plans for infants and children
• Performs physical exams and diagnoses illnesses and injuries
• Administers medications and treatments
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Provides consultation and education to parents and caregivers

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Pediatrics
• NRP certification

Qualifications

• Experience in pediatric hospital medicine preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in pediatric emergency care
• Strong clinical decision-making skills
