Role & Responsibilities
- Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage in inpatient, outpatient, and OR settings.
- Conduct morning rounds, update care plans, perform post-operative tasks, assist in surgeries, and manage outpatient consults using the EPIC EMR system.
- Handle a case load of approximately 15-20 patients daily, including tasks such as wound care and discharge planning.
- Respond to call duties, including night and weekend calls, with responsibilities in vein harvesting and first assisting in surgeries.
Qualifications & Skills
- Board certification required, prescriptive authority needed.
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage a diverse patient population.
