About the role
We are seeking a qualified Physician Assistant with expertise in cardiothoracic/cardiovascular surgery for an inpatient role in Reading, PA.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with surgical procedures such as CABG, TAVR, TACR, vascular surgeries, and ECMO.
- Performing vessel and endoscopic vessel harvesting, including radial artery harvesting.
- Supporting preoperative patient care, positioning, skin prep, and draping.
- Assisting surgeons during operations and invasive procedures.
- Participating in postoperative care and patient workup.
- Providing emergent OR, cath lab, and bedside coverage during on-call hours.
Requirements
- Active PA license, BC/BE, and BLS certification.
- Experience in vessel harvesting, specifically arterial and vein.
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR system.
- Ability to work independently with a strong clinical skill set.
Skills
- Vessel harvesting expertise, including arterial and vein harvesting.
- Strong assistance skills in surgical and invasive procedures.
- Ability to handle call responsibilities, including emergent cases with a quick response time.
