Locum Physician Assistant (PA)

Role Overview

A Physician Assistant is sought to support pediatric critical and transitional care in a high-acuity hospital setting. The position involves managing infants and children post-surgery, with a focus on complex respiratory and medication management, including ventilator support such as BIPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula.

Responsibilities

• Manage pediatric critical and transitional care patients
• Perform ventilator management and complex pediatric care
• Support post-surgical recovery and specialized treatments
• Document clinical activities in EPIC

Qualifications & Skills

• Active California medical license and DEA registration
• Masters degree in physician assistant or medical studies
• Minimum 1 year of PICU, PCICU, or pediatric hospitalist experience
• Pediatric ventilator management and complex case experience preferred

Key Requirements

• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
• Support pediatric patients with high-acuity needs
• Strong clinical documentation skills
